Audiovisual Production Specialist

Duties
The duties of this position are developmental in nature and lead to the full performance level (FPL) of Audiovisual Production Specialist, GS-I071-11.
- Plan and direct actions required to produce audiovisual products that comply with and meet all professional-level video production industry standards and visual information documentation, such as engaging video productions and high-resolution photography.
- Perform all phases of audiovisual production. Directs the conceptualization of visual and audio content using innovative and creative techniques to effectively convey the theme of the production.
- Operate complex video and audio editing systems. Utilizes artistic and creative skills to develop computer graphic presentations through conversion of projection transparencies, 35mm slides, videos, publications, and briefing papers. Creates original motion graphics, animations, and visual effects through post-production software.
- Operate and/or instruct others in the operation of camera and related equipment to ensure proper framing, lighting, aperture, exposure, depth of field, field of view, etc. Able to capture aerial photographs from fixed wing and rotary aircrafts for use in Public Affairs materials, technical reports, and surveys.
- Act as Pilot-In-Command (PIC) and observer on the Regional Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Team.
- Select and provide video clips, still photographs, and news features for use by local, national, and international media.
