Girls on the Run is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential. Our character development program is for girls in 3rd – 8th grade. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
Ability to pay close attention to detail
A positive, proactive, and curious mindset
Fluency in various social media channels
Eagerness to grow Girls on the Run Utah’s social media presence
Photo editing skills in Canva and Adobe strongly preferred
Willingness to work in fast-paced environment and ability to multi-task
Belief in the mission of Girls on the Run

The Communications & Social Media Intern is responsible for coordinating and executing GOTR Utah’s social media strategy, working across key social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. This role will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence and gaining visibility of our brand among all stakeholders including volunteers and the community. Key duties fall into 4 main areas of responsibility: 1) graphic design 2) social media management; 2) coordinating and distributing content; 4) email marketing and communications

Receives direct supervision of projects from Program Director.
