PBS Utah is looking for a Fall 2021 Production Intern committed to doing the kind of work that builds public trust in journalism — work that is skeptical, conversational, and compassionate. Recognized as one of the leading public television stations in the country, PBS Utah is committed to serving the Utah community through diverse local productions, K-12 educational programs, and community engagement. PBS Utah provides entertaining and enlightening programming and services while upholding core values of integrity, fairness, independence, education, and innovation.

The Production Intern will be mentored by award-winning storytellers and journalists, gain hands-on experience in field-based documentaries, studio-based current affairs programs, video editing, audio editing, cinematography, research, and project management.


Qualifications and Requirements:
The successful applicant will be an enrolled student in good standing at a college or university. Applicants from all academic departments and all levels of study are encouraged to apply but first preference will be given to students who are enrolled in Journalism, Film, Communications or another media-related field.

The ideal candidate should have video editing experience using Adobe Premiere, researching and organizational skills, and solid verbal and written communication skills.
