Screening of MIDNIGHT TRAVELER with Producer Emelie Mahdavian

Midnight Traveler

Directed by Hassan Fazili, Produced by Emelie Mahdavian & Su Kim, and Written by Emelie Mahdavian.

When the Taliban puts a bounty on Afghan director Hassan Fazili’s head, he is forced to flee with his wife and two young daughters. Capturing their uncertain journey, Fazili shows firsthand the dangers facing refugees seeking asylum and the love shared between a family on the run. Among other accolades, Midnight Traveler won a World Cinema Documentary Special Jury Award at the Sundance Film Festival, and was recently nominated for the Best Documentary Gotham Award. 

The film screening will be followed by a Q&A with Producer, Editor, & Writer Emelie Mahdavian. Mahdavian is also the Producer-In-Residence in the Department of Film & Media Arts.
